Instead of a music video for Distant Charms I wanted to find a different environment to explore the symbiosis between music and visuals, and how each affects our experience of the other. For several weeks I’ve been collecting live streams from cameras around the world; searching for glimpses into surreal, borderland spaces and dreamlike destinations that play into the song’s imagery of childhood and half-remembered holidays.
